Who We Are

Ironwood Studio is Ben Eakins and Joel Carlman, two friends with a passion for creating. We became friends in Cape Town, South Africa twelve years ago, and have been close ever since. We didn't plan to go into business together--or even to discover woodworking as a passion, but for the past 5 years, we've been pushing the boundaries of our own creativity and taking pride in crafting furniture and home decor that our customers love.

We are men on a mission. Ironwood Studio supports our "day jobs" working around the world in the areas of leadership development and peacemaking (through Project Renew) and building inclusive communities for children with special needs (through Nexus Partners for Accessibility).
